About me
I’m a Vancouver-based physiotherapist with over 23 years of clinical experience and have owned and operated a private physiotherapy clinic in Vancouver for the past 17 years.
My approach combines evidence-based rehabilitation, clinical reasoning, and practical, patient-centered care. I focus on helping people better understand pain, recovery, movement, and the factors that contribute to both injury and long-term function.
I work with a broad range of individuals, from people managing everyday aches and injuries to athletes, performers, and older adults navigating changes in activity demands and different stages of life. My goal is to support long-term movement confidence across different stages of life through clear education, practical rehabilitation strategies, and individualized care.
I have experience working with Olympic-level athletes across multiple sports, including snowboarding, figure skating, rowing, equestrian sport, wrestling, and swimming.
I also have a longstanding interest in musician and performance-related injuries and work with musicians across a wide range of disciplines and experience levels. This has included members of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, the Vancouver Academy of Music, students and staff of the National Ballet School of Canada and various university music programs, adult learners, members of the Pacific Bluegrass and Old-Time Music Society, and individuals involved in heavy-metal music and local performance communities. I recognize the unique physical demands associated with precision, repetition, endurance, sustained postures, and performance.
Treatment may incorporate:
movement and load-based rehabilitation
exercise prescription and education
manual therapy
Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS)
return-to-activity and performance planning
I have completed advanced post-graduate training in orthopaedic manual therapy, including FCAMPT certification and IFOMPT-recognized training, and also have additional education in canine rehabilitation with the Animal Rehabilitation Association of Canada.
In addition to clinical practice, I have been involved in physiotherapy education and mentorship through teaching roles at the University of British Columbia and mentorship involvement with the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
My overall approach emphasizes evidence-based care, practical solutions, and helping people return to meaningful movement and activity with greater confidence and resilience.
